Beautiful little park with a vibrant aviary and picturesque landscapes all around. We did tent camping over Thanksgiving and made good use of the fire pits for cooking and warmth. It's very popular and some other guests were rowdy and ran generators at times we wished they wouldn't, but that's not the park's fault so I won't hold it against it.

Worst camping experience in my life. Do not come here. - The personnel is shockingly rude. Specifically the trash 'specialist' Jerry. He threw, without any notice, my wet 300 USD clothes and sleeping bag into the trash can, putting a cigarette on top. Justification: There are only homeless people on the campground, so he thought this is trash. When I confronted him how rude this was and demanded he takes it out, he refused and blamed ME for hanging wet clothes on a wall in an empty CAMPGROUND. I was shocked, this is the rudest thing I ever encountered in a campground. - The camp host: He unbelievably defended his staffs behavior when he witnessed my complaint. I hope these people do not get paid for this with state funds. - The ground itself was dirty, with only stones to put tents on top. Not nice or relaxing. It also smelled of pee, and the bin stank. Maybe look for alternatives. There are plenty on the Ventura Parks Website.

Excellent park. Nice river, large campsites, lots of shade trees which are quite welcome in the summer months. Nice firepits - but use caution to limit the size of your fires for cooking purposes, high fire danger in the dry months. Nice children’s playground and soccer size field within walking distance. Some campers don’t appreciate the natural sounds of the area and have to crank up their boom boxes - very disrespectful to the other campers. We will most likely come back again.

Beautiful, shady park with lots to do for kids and very relaxing for adults. We spent hours exploring the creek and making friends with the birds at the aviary and the wandering peacock who would come by and give us a show. The camp host, Jared, was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, especially as we had a group of almost fifty! We had a fantastic time, can't wait to go back.

It was a lot better than we thought. We managed to get 43 for the RV in, but it was tight. The camp host was very nice.
